Annual Litter Pick
Meet at the hub at 10am. Bags and gloves provided. Dogs welcome, small humans encouraged. Coffee and biscuits after.
The daffodils are out on Osprey Crescent and so are we. This month: the annual litter pick, a seed-swap at the hub, and the AGM (bring snacks, it makes the treasurer's report go faster).
Meet at the hub at 10am. Bags and gloves provided. Dogs welcome, small humans encouraged. Coffee and biscuits after.
Bring your leftover packets, leave with something new. From tomatoes to sweet peas — all seeds, all welcome.
The AGM. Bring snacks — it makes the treasurer's report go faster. Plus: vote on the wildflower meadow proposal.
Getting the communal garden ready for summer. Tools provided, bring enthusiasm and possibly a thermos.
Bertha Park is Perth's newest neighbourhood — but it was built from the start with community in mind. Wide pavements, shared green spaces, a hub at the heart. What we've done is fill those spaces with people.
"We started with eight people round a kitchen table. Now we've got eight hundred households and a waiting list for the allotment."
— Morag, founding committee memberOur events calendar has grown from a handful of litter picks to a full year of gatherings, workshops, and celebrations. The community garden produces more courgettes than anyone knows what to do with. The WhatsApp group finds lost dogs within ten minutes, every time.
This is what happens when people decide to know their neighbours.
Sarah — Osprey CrescentWe moved here two years ago not knowing anyone. Within a month, three neighbours had knocked on our door. The litter pick was where it all started.
Donald — Heron DriveI love that the website actually changes. When I checked it in January it felt completely different to how it looked in July. That's exactly what Bertha Park is like.
Priya — Mallard CloseKenny's bike workshop got both my kids kitted out safely for the school run. Free, friendly, and Kenny knows exactly what he's talking about.
There's no committee gatekeeping. If you have an idea, bring it. If you want to run something, we'll back you.
Start with the litter pick. Or the bonfire. Or the AGM if you like a good argument about parking. Just show up — that's all it takes.
Lost a cat? Found a cat? Know something about the planning application on Heron Drive? The group is 400+ strong and extremely useful.
Kenny runs the bike workshop. Morag runs the harvest supper. Anyone can run anything. Got an idea? Email us. We'll make it happen.
